Assigning resources to groups

You can assign resources to be accessible to members of user groups. This allows you to manage efficiently the access permissions for multiple users at once. Currently, you can assign applications and collections to groups.

Permission levels for resources

Multiple permission levels can be assigned to groups to determine the type of access group members are granted. The permission levels depend on the type of resource.

Applications

Applications can be assigned to groups with two permission levels:

  • User: group members can only use the application

  • Owner: group members can modify the application itself

Collections

Collections can be shared with groups using two permission levels:

  • Viewer: group members have read-only access

  • Writer: group members can modify the collection
