Transcription in Assistant

The Transcription Application processes audio and video files to generate precise text outputs. It supports efficient conversion of recorded content into text, providing a reliable solution for creating transcribed text records of meetings, presentations, and conversations.

To transcribe an audio/video file:

1. Navigate to the "Transcribe" Application in the sidebar.
2. Click on the button "Upload file".
3. Select a file in the "Upload file" popup from your computer.
4. Click on the button "Upload" to upload the document.
5. The transcription process will start, please wait till it's finished.
6. After the transcription of the file is done, the transcript automatically will be displayed on your screen.

Please note:

• You can upload only one document at a time.
• A newly uploaded document will replace the previous one.
• We support .mp3, .mp4, .m4a, .wav, .mpga, .mpeg, and .webm audio file formats.
• Max file size is 25 MB.

To edit transcription:

1. Transcribe an audio/video file.
2. Click on the transcript and start editing it.

Please note:

• Users can edit transcript and time codes.

To copy the transcript:

1. Transcribe an audio/video file.
2. Click on the "Copy" icon in the transcript area.
3. The transcript will be copied and can then be pasted anywhere.

To export the transcript:

1. Transcribe an audio/video file.
2. Click on the "Export" icon in the transcript area.
3. The transcript will be exported on your computer as a .docx file.

To delete the transcript:

1. Go to your transcription.
2. Click on the "Delete transcript" button on the top of the transcript area.
3. Confirm that you want to delete your transcription.
4. The uploaded file and its transcript will be immediately deleted.

Afrikaans, Arabic, Armenian, Azerbaijani, Belarusian, Bosnian, Bulgarian, Catalan, Chinese, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Finnish, French, Galician, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Hungarian, Icelandic, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Kannada, Kazakh, Korean, Latvian, Lithuanian, Macedonian, Malay, Marathi, Maori, Nepali, Norwegian, Persian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Swahili, Swedish, Tagalog, Tamil, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, Urdu, Vietnamese, and Welsh.

We are using Whisper model for transcriptions. Here is the list of supported languages for transcription.
