Pharia Government Assistant (EN)

The Pharia Government Assistant (PGA) is a secure and sovereign AI solution designed specifically to support public sector organizations in enhancing their efficiency and navigating digital transformation while maintaining high standards of data protection and sovereignty.

Background​

Public sector organizations in Germany commonly face three significant challenges:

  • Workforce shortage
  • High volume of repetitive tasks
  • Fragmented information silos

The Pharia Government Assistant addresses these challenges by providing an AI-powered assistant that supports knowledge workers, helps to automate repetitive tasks, and centralizes access to information while ensuring data sovereignty and a GDPR compliant processing.

PGA Applications​

Chat​

The core conversational AI interface that enables natural interaction with documents and institutional knowledge (stored in collections):

  • Q&A with Source Citations: Ask questions about uploaded documents or predefined knowledge collections and receive answers with source citations for full transparency.
  • File Upload: Supports up to 10 files simultaneously (max 100 MB or 500 pages per file).1
  • Content Generation & Refinement: Summarize, rephrase, and compare documents.
  • Creative & Writing Assistance: Enhance creative writing, generate ideas, and improve existing text.
  • Integrated Translation: Translate text between 9 languages2 directly within the chat interface (see info box below).
  • Local Chat History: Conversation history is stored on the user's device and is not synchronized, ensuring privacy.
  • Near Real-time Responses: Token streaming technology delivers fast responses, allowing users to see results without long delays.
  • Built with Llama: Chat is powered by the Meta Llama 3.3 70B model, licensed under the Llama 3.3 Community License Agreement.

Translation​

The Translation application is a dedicated service for document and text translation.

  • High-Fidelity Translation: Translates content across more than 40 languages.3
  • Cross-Jurisdictional Communication: Facilitates clear and effective communication across diverse linguistic and administrative domains.
  • Proprietary Model: Leverages a specialized translation model for fast and reliable translations.

Security and Compliance​

The Pharia Government Assistant is built with security and compliance as core principles:

  • Data sovereignty and GDPR compliance: Hosted in the EU01 region by STACKIT, excluding data transfer outside the EU/EEA.
  • Privacy protection: Data isolation provides that user information and content remain inaccessible to Aleph Alpha and third parties. Uploaded customer data and prompts will not be used for AI training or analytics purposes.
  • Transparency: Explainability features with source citations for Chat responses.
